I have a horse trailer. I hooked it up to the electric on my truck and the electric brakes on the trailer kept locking up. Once I unplugged the trailer from the truck it no longer locked up. The truck does not have a brake box in the cab. Any ideas on what might be causing this? Is it an easy fix or costly?
Phew! I must say I am relieived it is simple. Too add, any idea how much a local dealer might charge to install one?

Adjusted the electric brake controller and applied more to the trailer brakes which seemed to help, never experienced this before. What should I check first?
